This blog is about dance injury in general, and in particular, my own personal recovery and rehabilitation following a calf injury. There is a lot about hypermobility and Ehlers-Danlos Type III Hypermobility Syndrome and the multisystemic nature of my treatment, including documented physiotherapy treatment

Sore Calf Again!
On Monday, we had done rather an unusual warm-up in my pilates into ballet class. We had done some jogging on the spot and around the room because the room was very dark, and the teacher felt we needed waking up. Having not done anything quite that physically stressful in bare feet, the next day my calf was rather sore again, and I was reminded just how fragile it still has the tendency to be. This was the right calf, although pain was actually lateral this time. It was very tedious having to dance so carefully on Tuesday evening, and made the class feel a lot more stressful. I won't be jogging again in bare feet!
